SUFFERING.

Even if we have a long and successful marriage,
changes will occur. Some changes will be
welcomed, but others will not be. We will eventually
all suffer pain or loss in life’s journey. Self-pity, anger,
or internalizing disappointment are not solutions to
ease suffering. It is best to confront these
disturbances and learn to cope with them. A wise
sage once said, “If a man acts with pure thought,
happiness follows him like a shadow that never
leaves.”
If you notice your physical appearance or health
is deteriorating, channeling your energy into a
positive approach is a good option. Lamenting and
surrendering leads to the situation worsening. Slow
down and connect with yourself and your partner.

“What lies behind us
           and what lies before us
                    are tiny matters compared to
                             what lies within us.

– Ralph Waldo Emerson
